Trelawney

It's some bleddy stumper this one! 'Ee can try an have a go, but I's always getting 14 characters of rubbish that start with two vowels...

Normal rules apply to each game. The following list highlights some of the important aspects of the game:

  • Each player has a unique character with an ability. Characters belong to one of four character types: Townsfolk, Outsider, Minion, Demon. Townsfolks and Outsiders are on the good team while Minions and Demons are on the evil team. The number of players for each character type is determined by the player count.
  • The evil team wins if there are only two players alive, one of which is the Demon. The good team wins if the Demon dies when there are three or more players alive.
  • The game is divided into Day and Night phases. At night, the Storyteller wakes up players who have night actions one by one according to a predetermined order. During the day, players may discuss and nominate players for execution. The player with the most votes is executed at the end of the day.

In addition:

  • Apart from the Demons, no two players have the same role. A Drunk must not think they are a Townsfolk role that is in play in the other game.
  • All good players must tell the truth at all times.
  • An evil player would not make the basic error of naming players in the wrong game or giving inaccurate information regarding players’ positions on the grimoire when making up information.
  • Statements by players are given in alphabetical order of their names. Calculate the values of W, X, Y and Z after everyone has spoken.

  • There is TROUBLE BREWING among the players, going in clockwise order.

Day 1

Aditya: I did not wake up last night.
Alex: I received a 0 between Ardal (who is my right hand side neighbour) and Oswald.
Ardal: I chose a player last night.
Bianca: I got a No between Natasha and the player W - 1 seats to my right, where W is the number of names spoken by players in the other game today.
Chuck: I chose the player 3 seats to my right, Natasha.
Douglas: I saw a Drunk between Oswald and Ubaldo.
Ingram: I saw a Baron between Lydia (who is 3 seats to my right) and Natasha.
Lydia: I saw a Fortune Teller between Bianca and Natasha.
Natasha: I found out there are 3 - X pairs of evil players neighbouring each other, where X is the total number of players in the other game who are claiming to be a role that received a number from the Storyteller last night.
Oswald: I learned that there are Y/2 pairs of evil players neighbouring each other, where Y is the total number of players who did not speak today.
Penny: I would like to use my ability and choose the player who is Z/2 + 4 seats to my left, where Z is the number of names spoken by players in the other game today.
Ubaldo: If a Townsfolk nominates me, they will be executed immediately.

Natasha is executed.
Oswald is executed.

Day 2

Chantal was killed in the night.
Ingram was killed in the night.

Aditya: I chose a player last night.
Alex: Last night I received a 1 between Aditya and Ardal.
Ardal: Last night I chose Douglas who is not one of my neighbours.
Bianca: I got a No between Chuck and Simon who are the closest and second-closest players on my right respectively.
Chantal: Last night I chose the player who is 2 seats to my left, Ubaldo, and learned they are the Drunk.
Chuck: Last night I chose a player.
Simon: Last night I saw Natasha as the Drunk.
Douglas (who sits at the same position as Penny) becomes the first person to nominate Ubaldo (who occupies seat number 1).

Ardal is executed.
Simon is executed.

Day 3

Douglas was killed in the night.
Penny was killed in the night.

Aditya: I chose a player last night.
Alex: Last night I received a 1 between Aditya and Ubaldo.
Bianca: I got a Yes between Penny and myself.
Chuck: I chose a player last night.

A player is executed. The game is over.
