Field Notes

I took out my binoculars and wrote down my observations of the wildlife dotting the landscape. I think I managed to hit every item in my field guide!

Observations:

  • I saw a very large, friendly animal with a human boy in the forest. Even though it appeared to be lazy, I could see it mentoring the boy, referring to him as a "man-cub".
  • I could hear a fat insect buzzing beside me (I think it even tried to talk to me?). According to scientists, there's no way it should be able to stay in the air, yet it somehow does.
  • I could only see this creature intermittently. But when I could, it always had a wide grin!
  • I saw a bird wearing a blue cap. It was accompanied by two other identical-looking birds, one wearing a red cap and the other wearing a green cap.
  • I saw a pachyderm use its huge ears to fly over the trees!
  • I shifted my view to the ocean, and saw this yellow-and-blue creature swimming alongside a red-haired mermaid.
  • It was a clay-like canine creature accompanying a human wearing a green sweater and brown pants.
  • I saw a lagomorph wearing blue clothes and a badge.
  • I saw an obese reptile standing on two legs. It wore a red cape and a crown.
  • It looked like a large, green creature, part of a group of four. Upon a closer look, I could see the orange mask it wears around its eyes.
  • I saw a rodent cooking a pleasant-smelling vegetable dish.
  • I saw a saber-toothed animal holding a large acorn.
  • I saw a large equine beast gallop across the hills at a dizzying pace, carrying a wizard in white robes on its back.
  • I could not believe my eyes - today I saw the King of the Jungle! At this time, he was still a cub being guided by his father, but it was still a sight to behold.
  • I saw a vulpine creature running away from a girl and a monkey with a stolen bag.
  • I saw a magical equine beast roam the hills! It had a horn and a distinctive mane and its fur was coloured purple. It also appeared very friendly to the other equine beasts on the hills.
